Microfinance business lending to Refugees and Asylum Seekers
Arie is the State Manager for Thrive Refugee Finance, an organisation which provides micro finance loan of up to $30000 to Refugee and Asylum Seekers business start-ups or growth capital for existing businesses. Thrive is not a Government funded organisation and operates with private investment capital. Thrive is headquartered in Sydney and began operations 2 years ago. Arie was brought to establish the Victorian operations 12 months ago. The program to date has been extremely successful having supported over 160 small businesses with a default rate of 2%.
