Rotary Albert Park runs a book recycling project where it collects books from various points, sorts and redistributes them in ways to benefit the community.
- A number of high quality books are listed on an international books sales website.
- We sell to several book traders who frequently visit our storage area.
- A book sale is held each year at the Albert Park Secondary College
- Thousands are donated to local community opportunity shops
- Albert Park College also receives hundreds of applicable books.
Money received from these sales is all used in local projects. Read more...
Book Collection Points
Books are collected from the Port Melbourne, Albert Park and St Kilda Libraries. They are to be left in the specially marked bins at the library entrances. Note that these are only accessable during library hours.
