ROMAC Global Grant report
In 2015 RCAP agreed to be the Host Sponsor Club for a multi-District global grant to fund a Vocational Training Team and bring 6 Pacific island children to Australia for life saving/changing surgery.
The project was completed in 2018, and Rotarian Gerry Phillips tonight will explain the magnificent results achieved for those 6 children, and how the training in Honiara will in the future lead to a significant reduction in the number of patients requiring heart surgery as a result of rheumatic fever.
Gerry has been a member of this Rotary Club for 21 years, is a past president, and has been involved with ROMAC for many years.
