Rotary Inner Melbourne Emergency Relief Network - Update

You've heard about Rotary Inner Melbourne Emergency Relief Network (RIMERN), a huge Centenary of Rotary in Australia multi-club project that will provide furniture and household essentials to thousands of vulnerable people in inner Melbourne. In the same way that DIK is the jewel in the crown of International Service, the completed Emergency Relief Network across Melbourne will be the bedrock of collaborative Rotary Community Service, with RIMERN building the bridge between the services in the western and eastern suburbs (WERN & EERN).

You know that we have been looking for premises and that the project needs many Rotary clubs' support, both financial and with volunteers, to help in a wide variety of ways, well now's the time!

We've found a home and now we urgently need Rotary Albert Park on board, so could you please share this email with your Board and members, invite them to watch this short video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ky71PSs9ls

Thank you in advance, RIMERN won't happen without a lot of Clubs' support, but having a hands on project like this might just be an invitation to new members, reinvigoration of some  older members and an exciting way to help people in need very close to home.

We can't do it without your support, please share this story with your members if they are not sure about why this project is so important.

I just received this letter from WERN's chairman, Ross Butterworth (via our Steering Committee member Sue Vincent) which really touched my heart and encapsulates why we are so keen to get RIMERN off the ground.  Read this story at (here)
