Bodhi Tree Report - June 2019
I thought I’d give you a brief update as to the progress of the Bodhi Tree Special School. In just over 2 short years Direndra (the school founder) has achieved fantastic results. Because of your generosity, there are currently 60 children that are receiving education, food, medicine, medical testing, therapy and counselling etc. The children’s ages range from 5 to 16 with the majority under 12. Another 40 at need children have been identified from further villages.
Direndra is excited about the progress even the most severely challenged children have made. Remarkably, due to medicine, therapy and education, a couple of children have made such amazing progress that they have been able to leave the Special School and crossover to the mainstream school.
I have been to Bodhi Tree and are in regular contact with Direndra so I know what an impact this school is making on not just the children’s lives but their families – but you have all done this on blind trust – purely because we asked for your help – so I can’t tell you how incredibly grateful I am for that.
